"Present In Detail, A Critical Analysis Of A Cultural Text."
Essay Question Choices:
The time has come to start the research for my Visual Culture Essay. I have narrowed it down to two choices.
1) Explore Music Videos and the hidden meanings in the selection I have
- "Savior" by Rise Against
- "Everlong" by Foo Fighters
- "Big Me" by Foo Fighters
- "Lullaby" by Nickelback
- "Remedy" by Seether
- "Fake It" by Seether
OR
2) Explore album artwork for a specific Musician/Band.
What the artwork of the cover represents the music of the album to be. What is the Theme at hand?
OR
3) Explore all Eleven Incarnations (so far) of 'The Doctor' from this hit British Sci-Fi TV series 'Doctor Who'. 1963 - 2012
From the beginning of the series, 23 November 1963, with William Hartnell as The Doctor, leading all the way to the eleventh and current incarnation with Matt Smith.
Explore what caused 'The Doctor' to regenerate into his next form (In Detail), and also explore how each incarnation has its own personality and is different from the others.

Music Video Suggestions:
I think for the music video side of things, I have narrowed it down to 4.
1) "savior" - Rise Against
2) "Lullaby" - Nickelback
3) "Remedy" - Seether
4) "Fake It" - Seether
2nd Essay Idea
The other idea for my essay was to focus on album artwork for a particular Musician / Band.
I choose to do this for my essay, I would have to choose 'Foo Fighters' as my band for the study of the
album artwork.
Each album cover was created by a different practitioner so much research is needed for each of them as well as the album artworks themselves. This should be interesting.
Here are all seven albums that have been released:
