The group Presentation
The object of this brief is to work collaboratively with my group. In which, we will conduct a range of focused research into the area of Graphic Design that we have targeted as a potential career goal. The aims are to discover how this area of the industry works, the entry requirements and potential career routes, and to gather enough information so that we can begin to be sure that the requirements match our growing skills and attributes... and that this is an area where we really want to go.
At the same time, we will develop a range of crucial skills in both researching and synthesising information, presenting ourselves and our ideas, an teamwork - all of which are particularly important to potential employers.

What the group has to accomplish
- Identify a core "Research Question" and develop and articulate a research strategy.
- Divide workload/roles between the group members.
- Engage in research activity to develop an answer to "the question" so that we have a resource that can be useful to all of the group members; this must include a group resource of 20 professional contacts that you could contact for work placements/employment.
- Prepare and deliver a 10 Minute presentation that communicates our finding in a professional manner
Questions to ask our contacts
- How did you get into the industry?
- What was the first piece of work that you did and how would you reflect on it. Would you do anything different?
- What is the next stage for music advertising?
- Do you make extra merchandise to help promote?
- Is the design and layout of the piece important?
